For this engagement session, we gathered at Grand Central Terminal to beat the winter cold. Along with creating some great photos, I regaled the couple with my limited knowledge on the Vanderbilt family and history. The wide shot of the terminal is obligatory, no matter what. The blue daylight coming through the grand vertical windows against the perfect lines, the information booth clock, the constant bustle and waves of tourists, commuters… it’s always a spectacle to behold. As a native, I can’t remember if I’ve ever slowed down to take this scene in before this day!
A couple of photos from an engagement session at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden earlier this summer. This place is a fantastic feast for the senses offering flower gardens, beautiful rows of cherry blossom trees, and more for all you botanists out there. I’ve been here several times for portraits, but not yet for weddings. This setting was a bit off the beaten path, as there are so many photo opportunities throughout the park, beyond the tried and true main attractions.
Here’s a Spring engagement shoot to celebrate the warm weather for you guys. Our shoot took place at Central Park where there are plenty of scenic spots to hit up. It drizzled slightly before we started shooting but the sun started to break through and added a nice touch to the entire session.
With minimal of direction, our bride-to-be was a pro at posing! I’m really digging the outfit she picked out and how the colors pop against the softer colors of early Spring.
