Portraits in the Conservatory Garden

The days are getting shorter and it’s back to school time again. I get the blues around this time each year but great company always turns that frown upside down. These photos are from a portrait session where this sweet couple brightened up a cloudy day. We started in the Conservatory Garden, a quiet gem of a spot, and toured down south into the more populous areas of the park. Despite the weekend crowds, there are always some cute spots to carve out and share a moment together. Yes, she did lift him up off the ground!

Back in Kissena Park for an Engagement Shoot

They are my friends and yes, my friend’s name really is Vivian! Beethoven is a longtime friend of mine and it’s an honor to be their photographer. As a matter of fact, they’ve been my willing photo subjects in the past and I’m happy they haven’t made any excuses or run the other way yet. Thank you, guys!

The blue tones they chose to wear stood out nicely against the pretty pink flowers and the predominantly green backdrop. It was on a rainy day but we rocked it.

A Central Park Engagement Shoot

Here’s a Spring engagement shoot to celebrate the warm weather for you guys. Our shoot took place at Central Park where there are plenty of scenic spots to hit up. It drizzled slightly before we started shooting but the sun started to break through and added a nice touch to the entire session.

With minimal of direction, our bride-to-be was a pro at posing! I’m really digging the outfit she picked out and how the colors pop against the softer colors of early Spring.
