On the last weekend of July, I took a flight out to the Bay Area in California to shoot a wedding. I’ve been to San Francisco, but never the surrounding cities. The wedding day started out in Berkeley, a colorful and fun city to explore, and continued in Palo Alto. The weather went from light drizzle, clouds, and fog to blue skies and sun. I absolutely love the way that works but I’m sure saying that makes me sound like a total tourist. Without further ado!
Wedding in China
First!
This was my first overseas wedding, and my first in China. A warm thanks to Beethoven and Vivian for inviting me to their wedding.
Being among good friends, and making new ones as well, it was a different experience altogether, and a positive one at that. We made it through the heat and, with the guys from the US, jet lag. After the reception, we all took a nap (pretty much passed out) on the way back to the hotel. Good times, indeed!
Snug Harbor Wedding in Staten Island
Weeks ago, I shot this couple’s engagement session. The wedding came by shortly after and here are the photos! As a fellow inhabitant of this planet, it was an all-new experience to observe a Ukrainian blessing firsthand and to see the couple donning their traditional garb. I especially love the candid photos from this wedding, which resonate with the overall mood of their celebration. The reception took place at Snug Harbor in Staten Island.
