Wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club

This is a bride-centric selection from a summer wedding at the Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. Even with some extra help, brides don’t always have the luxury of time to savor the moments between the “main events”. However, I found this bride to be radiating throughout the day and here are some snippets from her side of the story.

We had front row seats to watch a beautiful sunset (which, in turn, made for some beautiful portraits) and the night was topped off with lots of dancing and even a singing performance by the groom. Though I also photograph posed group portraits, details, cake cutting, etc., what I enjoy most is anticipating, capturing, and sharing the fleeting expressions – what I believe to be the essence of wedding photojournalism.

A Sweet, Intimate Manhattan Wedding

For this colorful and intimate Manhattan wedding, friends and family of the couple pitched in to help set up and make the day come true (and officiate!). In addition, there were plenty of personal touches like homemade cupcakes, custom card decks, and heartwarming speeches that made for a memorable celebration. Also, snakes were handled at Washington Square Park.

Special thanks to my second photographer – Adeline Ramos!

Peacock feathers, blue orchids, and a grand time

High five to weddings in Queens! These are some personal picks from a very colorful wedding early in the year. I’m a huge fan of all the blue hues the bride and groom picked, from the orchid peacock feather bouquet + boutonnieres to the striped cake and yarmulkes. The entire wedding took place while the sun was up and the natural light made for some fantastic indoor shots. Into the reception, we busted out the photo booth.

Big thanks to my second photographer and assistant!
